More Of A Storage Space
Growing up I was exposed to things that I thought were normal and as I have grown older I've realized these events have affected me in both good and harmful ways. These cyanotype gum prints depict the memories in stylized scenes as well as representing a disconnect from the memory since when looking back you can end up seeing yourself there in that moment. I used a color pallet that mixed well under one negative that also gave more of a surreal tone to the images while also using a lack of pressure to create a blur. These images are a recognition and an acceptance to my past and how this affected me before, a closure in a way to the issues these specific events have caused me and to show this happened and it's okay.
